Print Plans/Drafts

The photo on top is the first draft of my movie poster, and the second draft is on the bottom. I prefer the second draft to the first one as the colours are way more vibrant and eye-catching, also because it has some additional effects and information to it. For the final version, I want to make sure that any costumes used have no logos on them or that the logos aren't visible, and that I neaten the edges of my characters and add the animated one instead of two live-action.

The third photo is plan 2 but with extra text, to see what it would look like with all necessary text. The fourth plan was made with the shoots I took at my actual location, but without the animated character in place. When making the final version, I want to see if I can make the colours of the live action shoot more vibrant so they stand out more, as that could compliment the brighter colours of my animated character.

Grids/Layouts

3X3

The 3X3 layout shows that my most recent poster draft doesn't really focus on much, but instead shows how the text is separated at the top and bottom of the poster. My title text only fills the top third, and there is still some space in there lower down. The same goes for the credit text and the third that that's in, but the space is above the text rather than below.

6X6

The 6X6 grid separates things a little more, but still doesn't show any focuses other than the text. The main character fills up the two middle sections of the grid, but doesn't fit into a particular section or block, just the column. The credit text fits almost perfectly into the bottom two rows, and the text at the top is slightly off centre.

9X9

The 9X9 grid again shows the separation with the text at the top and bottom, only the top text fills up more space than the bottom. The characters eyes are in line with the line in between rows 3 and 4, giving them a focus point.
